Going to do a weekend at woodward copper this winter. Is it realistic to think I could go from nothing to throwing backflips within 1 weekend?
FigNewtonIf you are just doing public sessions, then probably not. The public hike park is only rails, so not many good features for backies.
KravtZNah. I'm saying like early next winter since I won't be out in Denver till later in the summer/early fall....
like buy into a weekend camp package or wahtever. I REALLY want to get backflips dialed down for this season. I feel like this is the best way to go about doing it. Maybe im wrong though...

Summer is shaping up awesome though, we have a good looking snowpack, and the new infrastructure up on the hill should make for more and more shredding.

FigNewtonI will be a counselor there again this year! It is a ton of fun and the park will be sick this year. It is everything you would expect, lots of skiing, skating, tramps, and we have a good line up of guest pros for week 1!

eheathTheir park is real fun right now, jumps are solid, lots of good rails and the magic capret isn't too bad, from what I hear its much better than the tbar from last year.

JoshWongSo as you know this past winter I was fired from Woodward. Well the situation over there has gotten pretty bad. Over this past winter 12 veteran staff were fired and 3 or 4 quit. One coach who had worked there the 7 years since Woodward started at Copper, Worked as a supervisor for a year before stepping down to go back to being a coach, and worked for Copper for 4 years before Woodward existed... said, "That is the most unprofessional management team I've ever witnessed in my 19 years of employment"
Him and his wife were both fired at the end of the winter.
Another full time winter coach, who has worked as head coach for Ohio dreams in the summers for the past number of years said, "The way they treat their staff is borderline criminal."
He was actually looking into suing Woodward after he was fired. Not sure if he ever pursued it, or decided they weren't worth his time.
Anyway....
With all that mess. Woodward's GM told my LINE rep that I wasn't welcome to come with the team for LINE week after he saw my name on the list. I'm assuming my Saga rep will be told the same. Haven't heard yet.
I'm not the only one being told this. Another former coach was also told he couldn't come with Revision for their week. He wasn't even fired either. He quit. It's very unprofessional and petty of them.
Woodward has a dope facility and a good park, so no matter what you will still have fun at camp.
I'll be coaching the 2 weeks of camp at Liberty Snowflex again for the 3rd year though!! If you're from the East Coast come check it out!!!
