Well, the season hasn't even ended for some lucky few out in CO and UT, but DPS has already teased us with a picture of a new pair of skis. Looks VERY different than what they normally produce.

ya its really lame. just more reasons to buy armada i guess... rossi seems to care less, less and more less every year with their park skis.

The new E Dollo graphic (although much like this years) looks really sick. The B Dog is such a fun ski but not a fan of the top sheet

BD wasn't there. But from what I hear from ORWM they did not present the new version, so looks like they won't officially be available for next season.

I just cant wait for all the new ON3P to drop.

The Cease & Desists now have asymmetric tip/tails and have a new offset tip/tail shape (think K2 Marksman kinda). The 10% I have seen look great graphic wise. I don't even want a C&D, but they would be fun to demo on a pow day for sure.

The Billy Goats have asymmetric tip/tails as well now... might have to make this my touring ski since the BG is now pretty versatile compared to past years.

I think so..

And I am not sure their take on it, but I'm guessing it makes it float/surf/smear/pivot better. I have heard really good things about Left/Right specific skis when you are skiing directionally and in the pow.

so the salomon and atomic tech binding has actually been on the market for almost a year now in canada and europe. The one on sale now does not have a brake so was not allowed to be sold in the states. Next season it has been updated with a brake so will be available in america.

It is more on the lightweight style (think radical 2) rather then the kingpin style. It does feature a pretty cool interchangeable heel pin system though. You can use thicker or thinner pins for a higher or lower release. Despite its lighter weight design guys like cody townsend have been riding big lines on it so its no featherweight rando option.

The other big thing from salomon is the new alp x boot. It is eseentially an arcteryx procine with a mnt lab lower. salomon developed the proclinewith arcteryx so its no real surprise to see it added to sollys line. It features a much higher range of motion and lighter weight then the mtn lab but is not as burly so the mtn lab is still the big mountain touring boot and the new one is more the true touring option.

Im going to do some follow up articles on the new tech stuff which was brushed upon by the sia coverage. What gear are you guys interested in? There is a ton of new stuff Im going to cover but is there anything in particular you are interested in?

Super interested in more about the Salomon tech. Also the Salomon boot that's similar to the Procline.

Well I worked the BC version of sia so know and have seen about all the major brands. There are a ton of new products out there which were sadly missed at SIA. There is a lot of new boot tech for sure. Small brands will be harder for me to cover though.

Have been looking around but yet to hear if there are any changes to the Marker Kingpin of Salomon MTN Lab boot. Thanks for any info!

haven't seen their take on the C&D but what was said about the BG on TGR was less hookness on crud and wind blown! I'm excited to try... same dimensions and sizes

when a company says that it indicates its a non system ski so any regular binding can be mounted on it

192 for a phat charger? who s going to ride that? minions?

beeing tall sucks ass if you re looking for skis. 4frnt and movement are the only ones caring about us. It doesn t seem to change in the upcoming years. 190-192cm seems to be a magic barrier for current and 17/18 line ups. pussies.

I ride a 195 armada JJ zero. I know a good majority of armadas a person can get in that 190-195 range.

As far as I m aware, the 195 jjs do not measure true to length. the 195 is more likely a 192. But if you re 6'2", everything below 195 feels like short park sticks.

I am really happy with the 194 Devestators. If 4frnt would make a 202-205 devastator, I d buy 3... such a nice, stiff but playful ski.
