Peach.I have. I'm a big fan, actually.
The pair I tried weren't mine to keep. If they were I feel confident that I could've solved some of the fit issues I was having and been reasonably happy in it for 90% of the skiing I do.
Edit caveat:
I haven't skied it in alpine bindings. Only Radicat FT's. I'm reluctant to believe it would have the same suspension and power transfer as my RX 130's in a pair of pivots only because of its reduced mass. But, I haven't had the chance to test it. So I have no evidence to back up that assumption.
I know Cy has spent some time in it for Blister. I'd be interested to hear his thoughts on wether or not we've reached the one-boot-quiver era yet.

Yeah....
I mean, yes, and no. It's the closest thing I've found for sure, probably the closest thing on the market right now. I love the XTD, but it's not quite the same as a true alpine boot yet. Is it good enough for a lot of people? Yes. For sure. I've had a blast in mine on some pretty terrible inbounds crud days, but it doesn't have quite the damping and support of a good true inbounds boot. So if you feel like you really need the support and suspension of a race, you're never going to be able to get away with a one-boot quiver that doesn't compromise the uphill in my opinion. I just am not sure it's actually possible to make a boot that skis like that at the weight boots like the XTD or MTN Lab are hitting.
Also, when I say compromise on the uphill, I've skied boots like the K2 Pinnacle and Nordica strider, basically inbounds boots with tech inserts and a walk mode, and I love how they ski (those were my only inbounds boots last year) and I don't mind them on short tours, so if you're doing sled assisted stuff, side country, or short tours where the focus is on the down, you'll be fine with something like that. Otherwise, for big days in GTNP, or any BC tours where you're walking or skiing all day, the XTD is the best choice I've found so far.
And don't get me started on what I think the XTD / SHIFT combo could offer.....!
