Warranty when buying used gear

I'm looking into buying some trew-threwth bibs used, because I can't afford at retail price. However, I'm wondering if I'm voided of their rock solid customer treatment because I bought them used? I'm not asking about a refund; but say I rip out a seam or a zipper starts to go, will they still accept/repair upon my request even though I'm not the original owner?

Warranties only apply to the original owner. However, I would bet that they would still fix or repair your gear for a nominal charge should something happen.

The second owner kinda gets screwed but it makes sense for the company

You could always email the company and ask. Even if they don't, they might still offer to fix things at a nominal cost.

Depending on the company, and how you ask, they may not even ask if you're the original owner.
I've only been asked to see a POP once.

I bought a pair of skis used off a rep once and broke them. I just went to a shop in town and was like, I bought these used off a rep and they broke. They were like well whatever its worth a shot to mail them in. Awhile later new skis showed up in the mail. Awesome.
