VinnieFFirst, back that up that it's all eastern people looking for handouts. You can't.

Second, I'm not against the handouts and I'm 100% for helping those who need it.

I just question the need for handouts and why so many seem to require them on an individual basis (IE pre loaded debit card handouts to everyone). I'm getting bombarded with news that everyone has no money. How they have no money is what I'm questioning.

Then you hear money is going to pet rescues. Just leaves a bitter taste that the generosity of the country might be going to save someone's pig who drinks beer (there was an actual story on that)

Then the last reason is that it's rather entertaining to rile people up on the internet and this is the perfect opportunity now that it's past crisis point and really wasn't nearly as bad as originally thought.

First, You're right, I can't factually prove that it's all easterners, but I'd bet lot's of them are, there's probably quite a few TFW's or recently settled people from other countries who don't have two pennies to rub together.

Second, you sure don't seem like it. there are actually alot of people that need the $1200 (whoopty fuckin doo). but like anywhere in our civilization, not just for mac, there will be some freeloaders showing up for the cheque.

I'm not for the pets either, but fuck we're Canadian and were helpful people so why not?

A single working adult, or dual income household largely does not. Unfortunately they are all getting the same handout when some need more, and most need none. I'm not a fan of people taking charity when they don't NEED it. Until you are out of options and the ends still don't meet, you aren't in need of charity.

espcially in a time sensitive scenario, how do you figure out who needs it pretty much over night, with people who have nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if single guys who are pretty much using this as a vacation and grabbing the $1250 and blowing it on a weekend of partying.
