It would be a dope idea if somehow this could get started!
Especially in seasons when we have more snow

Dennis_Reynoldsso East Coast Session I guess
aiden516Mountain Options?
Sunday River
Mount Snow
Loon
7 Springs...?
Killington
theabortionatorGore mountain should host it.
It would be worth watching just to see how sketchy they would make it, and if anyone would actually be willing to hit anything.
Idk, I can only imagine the next level features they would build.
ben_collinsNow how do we go about making this happen because I was actually serious about this. It would prob have something to do with Ski the East. Possible Newschoolers help as well?
freewilliemaybe the session can switch coasts every 10 years
w_skierSki the east/meatheads used to host some pretty big events at sunday river pre dumont cup. Nothing on the scale of WCS due to the lack of snow at the end of the season (and most EC resorts wouldn't do something like this mid-season) but some cool stuff came out of it.
MNSkiersSeven springs would for sure be the best spot. Along with that, their park crew is actually outstanding. If you saw on the ns snap story when they were at Mammoth last week the first jump they were hitting was made and shaped by the seven springs park crew.
theabortionatorThis wasn't their first time at superpark.
And that's debatable as far as location.
TheHamburglarwhats the biggest jump mt snow has ever built? their big airs always seem smaller than other mountains, not that I have the balls to hit anything over 5 feet anyway, but I feel like inferno has the speed for something 80+, no?
SAY I IF YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF THE IDEA
ben_collinsSAY I IF YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF THE IDEA
aiden516Yeah this is great, let's try to figure it out somehow.
If this became big enough, and it was hosted at Mount Snow or somewhere else, I'm sure that parks crews from 7 Springs, Sunday River, Killington and other mountains would come help the build
ben_collinsI guess we will do poll to see who is in favor of the idea
SAY I IF YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF THE IDEA
theabortionatorYeah because whatever a few kids vote for on this site really matters in the long run versus the time and money it takes to pull off these events etc.
The location matters in terms of who is willing to work with you, what they're offering. Also getting some $ from sponsors etc.
It's not like you just poll a bunch of people in here and show up at whatever mountain and say "20 kids on some website said that this is where they wanted to have a big event so you guys are hosting it now".
ben_collinsDecided to draw out some features I think would be sick
Sorry for bad drawings/handwriting I was doing it with my graphics tablet and I haven't used it too much
Tell me what you think
aiden516These look good, definitely more rails though. I think we should have a hip or spine in there somewhere as well. Building some really creative features with a bunch of snow would be sick. Stuff where there's a bunch of options just to see what people can come up with
theabortionatorSo after the vote is in, will you email/call the winning mountain and tell them they're the lucky hosts of the east coast sessions, show them the course they're building, and give them a dollar toward the costs of the event?
Or a better idea. Just assume they see this thread. We can vote on a date as well. Then we all show up at the mountain for the event.
ben_collinsDude chill on this
Obviously I didn't think this through enough and I kind of went blindly in to making this thread just expressing my opinion and then it just got carried away. Idk how it will happen but I'm very interested in making this work and I know others are too. I don't know much at all about event hosting/making this work business wise so I would not have too much to do with the planning
Just chill
theabortionatorDeciding it would be nice to have a ski event is the easy part. The rest of the logistics not so much.
ben_collinsI understand and I never said it would be easy at all or even that it would happen
You just went after me for pretty much no reason
cory.iyoobFor rails we an up flat up to s to dfd would be crazy.
