Super Stiff all mountain twin tips?

So im looking at a new pair of all mtn / park twins in the 96-100ish range underfoot. I'v been looking at Surface all mtn blanks since I have been riding surface for quite a while and am pretty happy with the feel of them plus they are super cheap.

But does anyone have any other recommendations? Looking for something super stiff that can rail some nice turns. Was looking at the automatic 102 as well.

Any other suggestions?

extruded bases, fuck that! if youre looking for a ski particularly for hauling ass, why get shitty bases? you can find something for a good price that doesnt pull that shit

Really considering the automatic 102. Haven't seen them in person though. Any thoughts? Or know of anyone who rides these?

Mainly interested in knowing carving capability on relatively hard groomers. Im fine with the rocker and camber profile. Want something that can hold an edge nice though

i havent skied the automatics but ive heard they do exactly as well on groomers as you'd expect, that is, not bad but definitely not amazing haha

if youre ice coasting it primarily, id opt for something a little less soft snow specific, seeing as the qualities of that kind of ski are usually sort of antithetical to hard snow performance. i think the guy above's suggestion of the PB&J is excellent. great all around ski that can do it all but definitely has the balls to rail harder snow really well

how much do you weigh? whats your skiing style? From what I've heard the automatics are fairly stiff but may be a little soft if you're >170 lbs or so. The PB&J are a really good if you will be spending most of your time skiing all mtn and some of it in the park. They will ski switch better than the automatics, but they are heavier and damper so less poppy and more swing weight. i'd say if you spend a decent amount of time hitting rails and doing quick spins go with the automatics, but if you are heavier, want to rail big turns, bust through crud, and toss big 3's get the PB&J's.

Im 170 lbs and a very aggressive skier with a racing background. Which is why I have leaned towards full camber twins and which is why I love the surface blanks even though the bases are a bit slow ( i wax them a lot though).

I am a VT skier but moving to Denver later this summer so looking for something a bit more west coast all mtn vs east coast. Still may go with the blanks in the 100 waste but def looking at some other slightly rockered stuff as well. Will def take a look at the PBJs

the new sir francis bacons are meant to be relatively stiff, 104mm under foot little rocker in the tip and tail

Armada Alpha X's sound pretty close to what you want, perhaps just a little bit narrow.

They're Armada's stiffest park ski so will hold up at speeds and carving and they also have the sintered race base on them so they'll be a lot faster than any extruded ski.

Pulled the trigger on some Automatic 102's. Seems like a great all mountain west coast ski that I can bring east with me and still have fun. Still have my 90mm park skis to mess around with early / late season.

Could always return them after I get them and they feel to soft...but I love atomic skis and love their build quality plus Dhana and Sage are bomb skier who I doubt would make a bad ski.

Will post up a review next season. Went for the 188's.

Yeah my mistake, however I do own a pair of AR7's and have ridden Alpha X's and then stiffness felt very similar.
