Replying to Water ramp skis

every year i seem to break at least 5 pairs of skis when ramping so im looking for some advice on how to make them last a bit longer. I know a lot of people fiberglass there skis. If anyone does fiberglass them do you mount your binding over the fiberglass? also does cutting holes in the ski help? some people say it reduces impact and lasts longer, but others say the water gets into the core to quickly making them rot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
