Smith Sunglasses

Does anyone have experience with Smith sunglasses, especially with chroma pop? Im considering getting the Drake with the polarized blue mirror + chromapop or the Lowdown with the grey green Chromapop lens.

Unfortunately mine are sitting on the bottom of a lake lol. I had the chief in the blue chroma pop, and i dont believe those are really similar to the drake anyways. But if you Google image the model you can usually find pictures of people wearing them

Thread jack because I was just looking at a pair as well...

Is the chromapop grey green worth the extra $80? Or should I just go with the red sol/x?

For me chroma pop was worth every penny. But i also fish 4-5 times a week so i get a lot of use out of them. I also only paid $88 for them too though

Have two pairs of smith glasses, the chroma pop pair is definitely worth it. Everything looks much more clear

I have some polarized Smith Lowdowns and really like them. I'm on my second pair. I hear chromapop is unreal. I would definitely recommend.

Do either of you have a bigger than average head/face? I can't decide between the regular and the XL Lowdown with my big dome. I tried the virtual fit thing and I couldn't tell which was better.

I'd say that I have a slightly above average sized head and face and the XLs fit perfectly. They're definitely not too big by any means

Self consciously invested in YSL, especially the Tom Ford drawn rimless aviators (the 2319s are my all time favorite, i need to procure a few more pairs before they all disapear) not including my persols, one pair of vintage ray bans (60s), and one pair of folding Porche aviators, also from the 60s i think

I've had a pair of smiths in the past never the chroma pop though. The glasses where pretty much indestructible. My pair got stepped on by a 300 pound dude once and they where fine.

I love my Smiths. Got the Marvines. They're not polarized but the lenses are super crisp and clear and they've held up really well. I have a different pair of polarized ones that I use for fishing that are super clear too. Not the best polarization but totally worth the $30 I got them for on whiskeymilitia.

I need the polarization and also in RX, so i can't really go to a retailer, thanks for the heads up though

I actually have the slim version because I have a narrow face. I don't know if they still make them. If you have a big dome, I don't think you can go wrong with the XL.
