Skiing and Skin problems

Sup newschoolers. So recently I have been getting a lot of acne and stuff after skiing a lot. Just wondering if there is anything that skiing does to cause this. Also, do any of you have this skin problem? What do you do about it? Also how do you feel about people with this? Thanks for the support, I just thought i would ask because skiers are usually supportive yo!

Is it in the hat/face mask zone?? I usually wash my face with a face wash, clean n clear or clinque facial soap.

To what safari said, bacteria will cause your skin to break up. So ensure to wash your face masks every few weeks.

Prolonged sweat contacting your face will cause breakouts, this could be caused by ski mask, helmet strap, beanie line on forehead even sunglasses on nose, just ensure your gear is clean-ish every so often and ul be gucci

I've noticed a combo of issues with my skin when I'm skiing. One as people mentioned is that I need to wash my face properly afterwards where stuff has been in contact with my face. My goggles probably have a couple years worth of sweat and grime in the foam and when that is in contact with my face for hours it's going to happen.

The other big one is my skin gets super dry. The dry air and lots of wind just sucks any moisture out of it. This leads to extra oil production and breakouts down the line as well as redness and blotchiness. So moisturize! Before you ski, after you ski, before bed. And drink lots of water. Seriously.

Also what Paige said! I use moisturizer because dry skin becomes super irritant to me!

It's because your face is sweating and oil is collecting, last year I got tons of acne and zits from skiing but this year I made sure to showrr every time I went out and when I got home I would shower again. Helped a ton. If you don't wanna shower just wash your face, but in showers you can use a fuzzy glove with soap and it really helps.

I have genetically bad acne so im used to it. When i started skiing my acne actually got better because my balaclava kept me from touching my face. Then in feb/march I started breaking out from the sweat and bacteria because I never washed it. dermatologist told me to get this facewash called cerave or something and its been great. The only "acne" i have now is just the scars from previ breakouts.

Also wash your pillow case frequently because your face touches it 1/3 of the day.

My skin always becomes very dry when I'm skiing. I'm using different oils and protect my skin with glasses and masks but it is not working. You know I'm always afraid of my skin 'cause I have some skin tags and it makes the situation to be more complicated. But now I'm working on this 'cause it became a big problem. I found on the internet a blog about skin tags and some oils that can help me to remove them at home https://www.skintagsoff.com/. I read a lot about the oils they have natural components and I do believe that it will help me. Waiting for that oil!
