SLVSH cup @ Hood

A SLVSH cup at Windells or at T-Line when everyone is up there would be so sick. There could be so many rounds with all of the guys who go up there every spring/summer.

Building on this -

it seems like a lot of riders go to Hood in the spring/early summer, Whistler later in the summer, and then Australia and/or New Zealand for the end of summer/early fall.

There could be a "SLVSH Summer Championship" where they have a cup at each location throughout the summer. There would need to be a way to crown the "Summer Champion". Kind of like on the PGA Tour they do individual tournaments, but also keep track of the tournament standings through out the season to crown an overall champion at the end of the year. SLVSH could do something similar to this over the summer, when everyone will already be in the same locations anyway. They could get so many games in and have a massive brackets and idk, the possibilities are endless...
They could have a "Hood Cup", a "Whistler Cup", and an "Aussie Cup" and then the summer Champion would be the rider that did the best in all events. Or you could have the winners of each cup play in a championship series at the end of the summer.

I'm sure that this could be done relatively easily since so many pros are at camps this summer. This should either be done at Windells, Copper, or COC or another option like the Aussie Cup that was mentioned before

I hope you understand how hard it is to make this kinda thing happen. You gotta have all skiers in the same place for an extended period of time, without them having other priorities, and with good weather and filming. It's not easy and I give big props to the Slvsh crew with their work and would love to see more of it.

I really don't think it would be that difficult in the summer:

- "skiers in the same place for an extended period of time"... the riders will already be in the same place for an extended period of time; its called Mt. Hood or Whistler for the entire summer.

-"without them having other priorities" - surely they can find some time away from coaching and living the woods to film with SLVSH. They will already be on the mountain taking park laps anyways... they will have time.

-"good weather" - it's summer skiing dude

SLVSH cups need to be spread out from each other. Reason for this is if they have them every 2 months the excitement of a SLVSH cup will be lacking by the 4th or 5th cup. In my opinion the slvsh cups are good the way they are right now and should only happen twice a year max. Matt and Joss know what they're doing.

agreed, in the short run, while all skiers have filming commitments and far better paying comps to attend its hard for everyone to carve out the same week to be in the same place

but in the long run... slvsh clearly has momentum. As notice takes shape who knows, advertising dollars could start pouring in, prize purses swell, riders priorities shift. Slvsh could eventually be the new comp series, and knock on wood, i hope it is

people have been calling comp skiing boring for years, and i haven't been this stoked about watching comps since the tanner dumont battle ten years ago. The population of NS clearly agrees, and i hope this makes it to the masses

give a good reason before you shoot something down. So many pros will be at hood this summer, it will not be that hard to match up 2 skiers to play a game that last maybe 4-5 hours to make. SLVSH did super well with the last cup at sunset park and mt hood would be an even better place to do it given the amount of good weather and pros that stay there for the whole summer.

I'd have loved to help put that on again but I've really only just now gotten back to hood. I was skiing comps every weekend for like 2 months and then I was Colorado for a couple weeks. And the tittyboi himself was in park city this winter.

Think of how stoked we all get for X-Games, it happens once a year and I'm always hyped to see it. Dew Tour on the other hand, not so much even tho they're basically the same contest. Its just that Dew Tour happens like 3 times a year. If we start having 3 or 4 SLVSH cups a year its gonna turn into a Dew Tour kinda thing, Still gonna be sick to watch but the hype isn't gonna be there and theres gonna be less viewers. Keep it at 1 SLVSH cup a year, and with the regular games every Tuesday were not getting much more content with another SLVSH cup anyways.
