CT 4.0 questions

I currently have the 2.0 and they are the best thing that have ever happened to me even though I bought them size 178 which is way too short... I am thinking of getting the 4.0 to complete my setup, but I'm a little unsure about a number of things.

Are they durable?

I heard that they are a little difficult to learn how to ski. Is this true?

How do they compare to the 2.0?

Should I buy the current 4.0 or wait till the new tapered ski hits the market?

Are they worth the hefty price?

1. I would say they are on the more durable side of ski brands

2. Can you ski confidently already? If you know how to ski, a big wide ski just takes a little getting used to, like MAYBE 4 runs.

3. They're a fat version of the 2.0

Also, size / weight / skier ability / where do you ski etc...the more info you give about yourself the easier it is for people to help.

I'm a well rounded skier and I have skied fat skis for some time I just heard that there was something specifically weird about them.

The New 4.0 will be tapered as far as I know

The price that I can get them for is about $920 without bindings (Danish prices are pretty crazy I think) I could also go for the 3.0 at a more reasonable $610

I'm 6'1" and 150lbs and I will be skiing France and Japan

Wrong, the 4.0 is a very different ski than the 2.0 The 2.0 uses camber underfoot whereas the 2016 4.0 has zero camber. For 2017 the 4.0 will slim down to 118mm underfoot, have camber, and also have more tape to the ski.

The 2017 ski sound like something more up my alley, a little more nimble.

I stand corrected. $920 does sound freaking ridiculous for that ski though.
