my proposal would be that everyone posts a personal estimate.
If we get enough serious guesses, by middling them we should come reasonably close to the actual distance.

So please go ahead and post your best guess.

Alright my first guess was probably way overestimated.
It seems like there's consensus that it was somewhere around 160 ft.
Although I still think it was closer to 200ft

Anyways, big fucking air time!

The gap is at my home mountain and it definitely looks bigger in the video than it is in real life. I'd say its about 25 meters (82ft) long or a bit more.

Almost impossible to tell from that angle. I'm an engineer and love nerdy math and physics stuff so I decided to take a stab anyway:

If we assume that GIF is full speed, then he is in air for slightly more than three seconds. At a speed of 40 to 50 miles per hour, that would equate to a horizontal distance traveled of between 175 to 220 feet.

This seems a little high. The video looks to be slightly slower than half speed during the middle of the jump, throwing the air time off. If we assume he actually spent 2.5 seconds in the air, this would decrease his horizontal distance to between 145 and 182 feet.

I think this is realistic. After watching footage of Chad's gap (120 feet) and comparing the size of the rider in the frame and the airtime they achieve, one can conclude A hall's gap is easily more horizontal distance than Chad's gap. Notice how small in the frame he is compared to rider's hitting Chad's.

It would be nice if another angle was released, but without it I would conclude around 160 feet.

TL;DR - 160 feet
