Yo,
So I know approach skis are meant for snowboarders, but I was recently looking for a pair of blades for spring skiing and saw these http://www.backcountry.com/k2-approach-ski in my local used gear store.
I picked em up pretty cheap with the intention of mounting REAL bindings to them and using them as blades. I think it would be pretty funny to make an edit skinning up my local hill before/after season ends on these bad boys too haha.
That being said, they are small, a little bigger than the average pair of ski blades.. So I'm curious if anyone has attempted to mount AT bindings like some old dukes, or Tele bindings to these suckers before? Or even mounted blades with regular alpine bindings before. Any experiences doing so may be helpful so please share your experiences!
Note: They look thinner than my other skis so I'm wondering if I would need some shorter screws, and where exactly I would want to mount them?
I'm dressing up as Saucer Boy for the big sky pond skim, so please help a brother figure this out!
