Warning- strong opinion--
Skiing is predestined to be not as cool as snowboarding and especially skateboarding.. sure it might look cool from a non skier perspective, but once you partake in both and begin to compare, skiing starts to look like the scooter of snow sports.
Heres why-- skate boarding is cool (once you embrace that street legue and stuff is a joke) first of because the skater themselves are sweet dudes, doesn't matter if they are pro or not, overall they are hilarious, chill and respectful. I dont know how it is out west, but the vibes i get from skiers in MI is wack... a majority of park rats seem douchey, and obnoxious, wayy more than skating, skaters and skateboarding and snowboarding is cool
BECAUSE of it the parallel activities that they have decided are also cool, such as art. Snowbaorders also tend to focus alot more on street.. street edits are rare on this site now days.
Like ming send.. skiing is way to serious, that why i love an account like @stopskiing because tall t dan realizes is wack and must be stopped, he will never run out of raw memes cuz skiing will keep on dishin out things to roast.
Yet some people are keepin it real.. shout out to the bunch and other like them
