mccrakken.Do you go size up, size down, two size down? Goodness are probably the way to go. I'm an 11 shoe what side would you recommend? Thanks ns
safarisamCurrently in a downsized boot, it;s snug so I did work to it.my last is like 100 or 101 fairly narrow. I don't know my arch and I'm at like just under 28.5 cm in length
Dependent on your foot measurements, you should either be in a true fit, or a performance fit. The only time you should ever size up is if it's your first few times and you throw a fit at your fitter that you need a bigger boot.
WHat are your measurements? last? Arch?

onenerdykidThe other thing to take into consideration is to get an aftermarket footbed. These are just as important as selecting the right boot because they create the interface between your flexible foot and the rigid shell. Without them, your foot is free to slide around front to back and side to side. They ensure the right boot is actually the right boot for you. Not getting them would be a big mistake.
onenerdykidIf you truly measure 28.5cm in length, then (generally speaking) you will be looking at 28/28.5 shells (there is no difference in half size, so you can take either).thanks for the help. The problem is I'm trying to findo out how to size me foot to buy boots online. My foots also probably gonna grow a bit before next season. do you think I should see a boot fitter and try on a couple pairs to get my size to get my best bet? I know I'm asking a lot of you for someone who like you said can't even see my foot but I'm wanting to pull the trigger on these. I could also just buy footbed and put them into the new boots of course?
Plus, at that length, 100/101mm is very narrow. So, you will therefore most likely be looking at "98mm" boots (the listed width is based on size 26/26.5).

So, the best way to go about this is to go to a reputable boot-fitter in your area, get your foot assessed, and then try on what the fitter recommends. If you have doubts or questions, you can always us ask but remember this- we recommend you see a boot-fitter because they can see your foot, we can't. They can see how your foot interacts with a given shell, we can't.
And don't get hung up on a certain brand or a brand that someone else really likes. They don't have your foot, so their boot most likely won't work for you. Find a good boot-fitter and trust them.

safarisamSo, onenerdykid designs boots for atomic. He knows his shit.
As a boot fitter myself, I highly recommend seeing one. We can at least direct you towards a boot that will fit, and will continue to fit thru next season. I'd hate for your foot to outgrow a boot you purchase without being able to use it.
