waxing my rail

ok so i made a 10 foot long 5 inch wide wooden rail. i used trex lumber its not to slipery so i was wondering what kind of wax should i use to make it slick. i was thinking of using car wax and leting it soak into the pours of the wood and the puting some more on it. what do u think i should use and also do u think the car wax will work?

I've used wax that my skater brother has for waxing curbs. That worked pretty well. I think car wax should work alright. Anything that will make that bitch slide. I would try to find better wood though, before I went thru all the trouble of trying to wax crappy wood to death.

i waxed it up with the car wax and it soaked into the wood good then i put another coat on and let it get hard and then did that again and my dad said that that should be good so i took a shovel and put my nee on the shovel and pushed to see hoe it would slide and the shovel slide realy fast and my nee came off it and i nuted myself and fucked up my cin and forarm. So i think this should be a good rail since i already hurt myself on it and i havnt even tryed it with skis yet.

amazingly enough candle wax works really well. just take a candle and rub it down the rail. we did it on a rail we stole and it slides really well now
