Do you get burned out towards the end of the season?

I don't come remotely close to losing my stoke, but I swear people just seem happier and more dedicated from December to mid-febuary, then the crowds deteriorate and the vibe gets weird.

It just seems strange... Like people would rather ski in crappy early season conditions than crappy late season conditions. I've also gotten into a lot more conversations and met more people when the snowguns were blowing and a few runs were open in November to December.

Do you notice any change in the general vibe at your hill. I think people act differently as the season winds down and sit out days that they wouldn't normally sit out.

KravtZwhy don't you move? Go to college somewhere else? Look for a new job somewhere else? If skiiing is that important to you...its worth it and plenty of opportunity out there. I could never imagine growing up in one of the shitty fly over states. PA,NJ...all the same. PS...love those who defend new jersey. Easily one of the shittiest states in the US. Can't understand why someone would move there family there unless it was for a certain sum of money or job. I would move there but would need at least 500,000 a year at a minimum


I got 2 more years of college then that is exactly my plan. Take my degree and try to find a job in CO, MT, OR, or WA. I've been out west a few times and absolutely love it.

Solid. I put in the NYC grind for 2 years and am moving to denver later this year. Can't stand this place anymore. So much more laid back and slower pace of life out west. Plus the skiing is 1000000x better which is a massive draw for me.

Wish I did it earlier in my life but all good finally making the move. Plus I'll have a NYC salary in denver and the cost of living is so cheap there compared to nyc
