Powder ski Bindings?

I am planning on getting a pair of Black Crow Anima skis which are 115 underfoot and I am trying to find a good pair of bindings. I have looked at the aaatack 13 and 16's but am also open to other options

Just get bindings that have brakes wide enough to fit your skis. There's not powder specific bindings. I personally have FKS on my powder skis.

Attacks are kickass bindings, super underrated, definitely would recommend, other wise, just try to find break widths that are the width of your skis, or up to like 10mm wider. You can bend brakes out, but its kind of a bitch. Also, STH2s are solid, heavier than Attacks, but beefier. I wouldn't necessarily recommend FKS, lots of people say they're a pain to get on in pow.

mounted my ak jj's with sth 2 16s, bomber fuckin bindings never had a problem prereleasing and never had a problem in deep snow

Yeah I want to get some attacks but they only have 110 brakes and 130 breaks which are 15 mm wider than the skis I'm looking at which is, I think, to wide to go. thanks for the help

If your skis are 115 at waist you can easily bend a 110 to fit.

Honestly you could go either way. Any decent shop should bend your brakes 5 mm, and I've run 115 mm brakes on 100mm skis without issue, so it's not as big a deal as it seems. Also, it's not usually that hard to find different brake sizes

Really isn't such thing as a powder binding, but FKS/Pivots can be a bitch to put on in pow.

Best bindings are the old Tyrolia 15 din models with the race toe if you can find a pair, that's just my opinion, but it is the correct opinion.

You're right, there aren't powder specific bindings but you want to get a binding with a wide screw set to provide more power and torque to the ski, especially a wider ski.

T.O.If your skis are 115 at waist you can easily bend a 110 to fit.


Attack brakes can be a pain to bend, I'd recommend the bigger size.





OP I think you should go with the attacks or sth2. Best bindings out there. Fks are good but they don't really offer anything different and they are pricey. STH2 comes with a 5 year warranty brand new and they're super nice. Attacks are super light which is nice on pow skis. Either way you'll be stoked.

The Peak / Mojo / Dealbolt 18 is better as the heal has a worm drive in the heal,the 15 race heal uses the tabs which are not the best. I've had / used pretty much every pre attack era tyrolia be it on freeride, pow or race stock. I would always opt for the 18 as unlike the FKS its 8-18 not 10-18 on the din range. That or the STH 16.

I've had the tabs on two sets of Tyrolias detach the heal piece on my skis with no warning or real reason. I will not ski with a tab adjuster, but thats my personal preference.

I've not seen the new 18 din in the flesh but according the dealer manuals it uses magnesium toe wings in the same way the old peak 18 did. Its on the shopping list for my new powder skis.

my attack 13's are pretty beast and i love the orange color. Have had zero issues with them at all and have held up great. Plus they're easy to click into as well which is nice after a hike or whatever in a tight spot

Attacks have a very wide AFD. Works well with wider skis. Also, go with the 110 brake. I have JJ's and a 115 brake was to wide. Put on a 110 and had to shave off a little plastic but tucks up much better.
