Replying to Outside edge of foot hurts?
Hey, so I have a little dilemma here; lately the outside edge of my foot has been hurting pretty bad when I ski. I'm currently in a size 25 Salomon X-Max, which has the totally moldable shell (which I've done), and I've also got footbeds in there. This was the boot my bootfitter fitted me into a few years ago, but now I'm running into this bad pain. Anyways, I've done a little research and some people have suggested that it may be because my boots are too big, but I had the chance to ski in some size 24 boots this past week and it was actually worse. Now, granted they weren't fit to my feet, but I slapped my insoles in there and everything felt great except for the outside edge of my foot--I skied one lap then went inside because I could not bear the pain anymore. I really would prefer to keep with the size 25 because the 24's smashed my toes everytime my feet came off the ground and then landed, no matter how big or small I went. So in conclusion, I'm just curious if anyone might know what the problem is. The insoles are not custom, because there's no way I'm spending a ton of money on something like that, but the ones I have are damn near a perfect fit for my arch, so I don't think that's the problem.
