Just poking around EVO and i spotted K2 presses for $179, They were my first pair of skis but they didn't have the fiberglass back when I started. seeing as though I have a stiff forgiving park ski and a powder setup i'm looking for a cheap ski to butter around on and not have to fret if it delaminates, is it a decent ski for the job?
i rode the 14/15 model last year, they aren't crazy soft and not as much rocker as you'd think. The topsheet chipping is definitely an issue though exposed lots of wood core on sidewalls. and exposed wood leads to waterlogged base= heavy ski. overall id say if you are riding 40 days or under each year, you cant go to wrong with $180, but that said this season i bought my icelantic danollies and it was SO worth the extra $100 to get better build quality overall.
