Why can't skiing be this cool?

Anyone ever feel like there's too much seriousness in skiing? I feel like 19/20 edits I see are really serious edits focused on skiing and not a ton of relaxed fun, shits n giggles edits. I don't know. I love this shit. I wish we saw more fun vibed edits/movies. That is all.

nah i love that shit. I would like to see more of it. I hardly see many like normal people edits having that much fun. I swear every snowboarding edit that gets shared on my fb, its goofy and fun in some way or another. I fucking love that.

Most snowboarding edits are serious too, but ice coast kills shit is an exception. Just like most ski edits are serious but Ltc is an exception.

It would be this cool if people weren't always complaining about how lame it is.

If you watched snowboarding consistently you'd see that about the same ratio of snowboard edits are just as serious as the ski edits you're complaining about.

Also, if every ski edit was goofy, there'd be no reason for the funny ones to stand out. (If everything is super, no one will be)

We've got a huge amount of hilarious skiing content available, but if we keep calling ourselves lame, we're going to be.

But I can't relate to them much, if at all. I can't do that shit and I never will. Hell, I've never seen anyone do that kind of shit in person. (Except on rare occasions). Those skiers throw down and it's unreal. But, I don't know. It's cool to watch. It's impressive but like I said, I can't relate to it.

I do know how much fun it is to goof around all day with homies and all that shenanigans. I guess for me that's what skiing is, it's not about skill or showing that off to people. Those kinds of edits give me all the feels haha. Watching them makes me want to get out and get fucked with my friends. Whereas if I see someone do a huge disaster I'm like damn that was gnarly, but at the same time I'd never even want to attempt that haha so it's different for me.

I know totally trevor and hood crew and ltc all give off that vibe. They're definitely my kind of edits. Aside from the few gaper day edits posted though it doesn't seem like you come across them too often. I don't know. That's just how I look at it I guess haha. That is all.

i feel that. one of the things that i enjoy most about skiing is being able to log onto newschoolers and watch jake carney take a switch 7 to the fucking base of whistler and then watch pork frat

They aren't making them for you to relate to. They are making them to show their talent. Do you think they should tone it down and ski worse so average skiers can "relate" to it? There is a huge variety of edits and that's what's great. Why does everyone who complains about how lame skiing is even ski?

nope. I think they should keep doing what they want to do. I'm just saying the more fun edits/ movies get me ten times more stoked than anything else. I still watch these edits and they're sick. I just would pick average skiing with an awesome vibe than really awesome skiing and a meh vibe.

I wasn't trying to complain, I saw this movie, thought it was dope and shared it. It wasn't meant to do anything else lol. I'm sorry.

Totally real tho. One of the funniest times I've ever had skiing was a family trip to sun valley in February and I couldn't even 360 or anything then but I had the funniest time with my brother just hitting hip jumps and dropping rocks. Thlays why I love TC cuz they just screw around but they're all way good and there's none of this thug rap music and triple corks they just screw around. Mingg is a true homie
