How far can you bend brakes?

I have regular brakes that go up to 8mm. But just bought 92mm skis. Can I bend them to fit? Would heating the metal enough to bend work? Thanks

yea heat them up with a torch or even a blow drier will work. then take pliers and slowly bend them. dont go too far or they will snap when they cool down.

my friend had a similar problem, except he was bending them to fit about an 86mm waist, the shop that mounted the bindings did the bending for him

yea you can bend you brakes for 80mm to 92mm. Basicaly they'l be 1 cm shorter on each side, which shouldn't make a whole lot of different. A replacement brake only costs 10 bucks if you want the right size though.
