Why is it that when your life is going bad, it just seems to get worse? Does it ever get better? I am trying to think about the saying:

'When it rains it pours.'

Well, it's been pouring for a long time...and I can't wait to see the sun. :(

I am sorry if I am bitching and whining...I just want to know things will eventually get better and this isn't as good as life gets.

well. i definitely understand. i got charged for a super trivial incident that is totally undeserving of a criminal charge, then less than a week later i was dd-ing for my buddy, slipped out on some ice, and busted his bumper in an icy snowbank. now im feeling sick, and have missed a bunch of classes. i dunno, i think im due for a small lottery win sometime soon...

^very well put, its true too... now who did you steal that from, its too inspirational. And when youre down, just focus on the little things. hell, breathing the cold winter air is enough to put me in a good mood. venting helps too

Things only get worse because you expect them to get worse, and everything that happens you interpret to be worse than it actually is. Say you were in a good mood, the same shit will happen to you, chances are, but you will interpret it differently.

Think about it this way. When you are obsessed with something, you see it everywhere. You lose the love of your life, everything reminds you of it. When this is not the case, it is totally dismissed.

Also, people tend to hurt people when they are down more, but not really that much.

The way I look at things when I have a shitty day or a week I just try to think of how nice it is going to feel when all of the stress that has been building up finally goes away. And then when the good days come it makes me feel so much better knowing that couple days ago all I wanted to do was run away from all the bullshit.
