We’ll be honest with you — for ten years now we’ve been trying to get a video invite contest for the West Coast Session going, and every year — due either to lacking sponsor commitments, or our own foot-dragging—we’ve successfully failed to get the “LET ME SESSION” contest off the ground.
But not this year, dammit. It’s West Coast Session 10, and if we’ve got one chance left to do this thing, then by God we’re doing to do it.
The scene may now be flooded with video contests, from B&E to “Wanna be a Knight” to Level 1’s Superunknown (whatever that is). But the West Coast Session offers you a video contest unlike any other: no funding, no structure, no mandatory pre-roll — only the chance to keep it real and join us for West Coast Session 10 at Mount Hood.
So without further ado, we’re happy to present the “LET ME SESSION” contest — YOUR chance to earn a coveted spot on the West Coast Session invite list.
The contest is open to MALE and FEMALE skiers as well as PHOTOGRAPHERS and FILMERS.
Here’s how to enter:
SKIERS: Create a 30-second clip of your best moves (No music, we like it raw). Send it via Wetransfer to letmesession@westcoastsession.com. In the “message” portion of your Wetransfer, include: (1) your name (2) your email address (3) Your age (4) Where you live, (5) Your spirit animal.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Pick out eight of your best ski & lifestyle photos, save them at web-res (2000px long edge) in a ZIP file, and Wetransfer the file to letmesession@westcoastsession.com. In the “message” portion of your Wetransfer, include: (1) your name (2) your email address (3) Your age (4) Where you live, and (5) the last dream you had.
FILMERS: Create a no longer than 1-minute edit showcasing your filming and editing style. Add some music, make us want popcorn. Wetransfer your edit to letmesession@westcoastsession.com. In the “message” portion, include: (1) your name (2) your email (3) Your age (4) Where you live, and (5) what you ate for breakfast (the most important meal of the day).
We will accept submissions until Tuesday, April 12, 2016 and will contact winners via email by Friday, April 15. We may accept one or more entries for skiers, filmers or photographers, or we may accept none. Your submission becomes the property of the West Coast Session which we will then use for all manner of nefarious purposes. (Naw, just kidding—but really.) Questions? Write us at letmesession@westcoastsession.com.
