.Rybak.nevermind. went onto my computer and found it.
MinggI can't find it... /:
.Rybak.You told me you found it earlier!
Mr.BishopAlso - it is REALLY important that you try using the new header on Mobile. The entire world is going mobile, and this was created to dramatically improve the mobile experience on the site. That was our #1 goal - so please try it on both desktop and mobile before you make judgements.
Its a dramatic improvement on mobile, and there was a few decisions on Desktop we had to make in order to support a consistent and good mobile display.
MinggAm i being trolled...
I get trolled a lot...
damn
.Rybak.Lol no it's actually a game.
gypsy_kidsomeone has most likely already said this but i wasnt really into reading all 63 comments. i like everything about the new header except the 40 alerts i have. i dont need an alert for people posting in treads ive been in.

.Rybak.UPDATE
Now that I have been using the header for about a week I can have a better opinion. Overall, i really like it. It's great to not have to go to a new page to get to different forums. One thing that I've really noticed though is I've stopped checjing my threads as much when it's paired with notifications. I might be alone here but I think that notifications should be paired woth messages instead or just take the friends tab out completely.
Also this is all for mobile. I haven't used my computer that much this week but it wasn't as much of a problem on there from what i remember.
nopolesI'm tempted to run an experiment to remove Friends and split Alerts/MyThreads into two. Just for a week or two and and see how it's received. I too think that's a better approach. It just feels weird because "Friends" has been accessible on every page of NS forever.

MinggI think the friends on the sidebar like it used to be was fine! Plus you wouldn't have to click the tab to see it, you could just have it on the sidebar at all times.

*DUMBCAN*I like it a lot.
One thing I don't like is clicked threads don't disappear until the refresh after that page loads. As in, I see there's a new reply on this thread so I click it, yet when I open the my threads tab it's still there until I either refresh or load another part of the site, when it's gone. It's a minor annoyance, but still.
MinggI've noticed I don't get alerts anymore if someone replies to my comment in news. Not sure if that was intended but just thought i'd throw that out there!
nopolesI'll investigate this tomorrow, it was not intended.
On a related note I just deployed an update to the Beta header to improve the mobile navigation to make it feel more app-like, instead of like a we drop down. I'd appreciate any feedback from mobile users in this change.
JAHpowI hate to be that guy but can there be a way to turn off my threads notifications?
Tbh I don't care what other people have to say in a thread unless they are quoting me.
And I don't want to clear out my threads because sometimes I like to go back into past threads to look for things, ie. Bst threads that are sunk off the first page of bst.
MinggIn the drop down alert thing(which is now separated from alerts and threads but I'm sure you noticed that) you can click on "view my threads" and then all red notification number thing goes away. Your threads are still "new" but you don't have a notification thing anymore. Maybe that helps a bit?
JAHpowI know that but what I'm getting at is just turning off the my threads notifications all together and only getting the red flag when I'm quoted.
SammyDubza thread I posted in got deleted and now I have a notification that won't go away, no matter how many times I click it...anyone else have this problem?
.Rybak.Go into the full mythreads list and there's an option to delete it.
Mr.BishopHey everyone -
We just made a pretty big update to the direction of this thing. We tried solving some of the issues from another direction, which I personally love... but curious to hear your guys feedback.
cultraraI seriously dig it.

Mr.BishopYeah I think we might have nailed it on this one.

*DUMBCAN*The only problem is the content now loads too far down the page now the headers so much more compact.
