really? the fact that the joystick owner rides for armada wouldnt have anything to do with that. certainly not. they look cool, are they carbon, or alu? i dont do alu anymore, as they snap a lot

those aren't the actual grips... the finalized grips have a patented quick release lever for the shaft. That way if you break or bend a shaft you don't have to buy a whole new set of poles... just the shaft. They also have a nifty twist lock interchangeable basket system. There are a few more graphic styles, as well as multi color grips to pick and choose from.

You can change baskets on any poles, aswell as taking out the grip on poles. But i doubt other co. would sell you one shaft, does this mean that they will sell you one blank shaft if you break one?

its MUCH easier to change baskets and grips with this new system, and yes, all components of the system can be purchased individualy that includes shafts

It's also worth mentioning, again, that you can change handles and baskets on any pole, and pretty damn easily at that. Is there an industry standard for ski pole shaft diameter? I hope so, otherwise Armada poles are just a bad copy of Joystick's poles. I don't need a 'quick release' on my handle or basket to get it off and mounted onto another pole. And besides, since basket mountings aren't standard on all poles, who gives a shit?

Why put out a product that is almost exactly the same as a team rider's company's product?

those look nice... i really don't care that much about my poles, they all work, and you rarely use them anyways, just to push on flat, and timing...

ya, they do make a difference. There's nothing more annoying than breaking a pole in the beginning of the day, and having to either steal a pair, or spend $5 to rent a pair for the day. Nice poles don't break nearly as often. I'd much rather support tony than armada though...

The new grips look like a mountain bike grip. An ODI Lock-On grip with a quick release. They are not molded for fingers, just flat. Dont know how everyone else will like them. Doesn't seem like your hand will stay put, seems liek it will just slide around on the grip

^dude theyre so sick. i used a pair yesterday and they were so sick. my cab 7's were twice as smooth, and they have great durability on rails. theyre really good carvers too. everyone buy these poles.
