how do u know if your doing an actual corked spin?
like, how flat do ya hafta get, best i can do is 3's at about 45degrees, so im guessing that isnt corked, just offaxis?

dj extreme i disagree, ive seen many corks where the people are completely flat, as long as you are still spinning like normal its a cork not a flat spin. a flatspin you spin on a different axis

No, if you're flat and doing a regular cork 7 it's still a cork 7, you're not going to call that a flatspin. How the spin is set also determines the name of a trick.

you are all gay. there is no such thing as a definition of a corked or off axis spin. its all preference. some spins may look corked due to it being a body cork some may actually be corked but there is no way there is a set degree to chande the name of a spin to corked. fucking settle down about naming shit and just ski.

if your spinning a 360 then its a 360, a 540 is a 540 and so on, it doesnt matter whether its cork or not, thats just how someone does the trick with there own style. just call it by the name of the spin and have fun with it.

a flat spin is a differnt a lot differnt than a cork, a flat spin you roll back onto your back ( so that your ski bases face the jump if you are going off the jump regular) then just spin around on that axis, in cork you roll onto your side and spin, i hope this has some way of helping someone somehow

a flatspin is more of a flip than a spin.

a cork is a spin leaning back. if someone see's you and say s'hey that kid just did a 360 off axis a little' its a cork.

corks and flatspins are not similar. a cork is any offaxis spin that you dont go inverted on. if you do go inverted its a dspin.

i hate to do this, but i dissagree with dirty....throwing a 720 is completely different than throwing a corked 7...there's no way to say that it's the same trick, just adding your own style...that's like saying a flatspin is a backflip, because it's the same general rotation, just off axis...you cant do that...corked spins are different than regular...period

argueing over a cork is kinda pointless, because i was at camp and a kid was doing what looked like a cork 3, but sometimes he was really tilted, and others it was more like he just leaned his upper body but his skiis stayed in the same plane.

i know, everybody shut up, like 1000000 people just posted the god damn same thing! holy crap... to say something different, i think that a cork is when you lean back and spin so ur flat with the ground, then come out of it off to the side like a rodeo motion. a bio is the opposite, its forward, and come out of it like a misty motion, a natural misty is when ur head is to the left and ur feet are to the right (if facing the jump) and spin, then move into a cork spin to come out of it, and a rodeo is when ur feet are left and head is right, coming out of it in a quick bio. that's the 'around the clock' as i call it. cork into rodeo, bio into misty, etc.... watch vids in slo mo and u'll see what i mean by coming out of the trick. but cork= back misty=side rodeo=other side bio=forward. anybody agree? maybe i'm wrong, but after studying slo mo vids that does happen, it may be hard to understand, but i think i'm right if you kinda get what i'm saying. yeah.
