Race Stock Bindings...

Anyone have any of these for sale... or know where I could get a pair or anything else...? I'd love the Rossi 185's(i think that's what they are...... 8-18 din) or some Look P18's.. it'd be awesome if anyone has any they'd wanna sell. Even if you have some 5-16's... I feel like I saw those this weekend... anyone, it'd be great.

Would you be getting p18's because it's cool. or because you actually need an 18 din. IMO very few people need anything over 14.

What DIN will you be riding at? Also, what binding do you have now, because odds are with a Look/Rossi binding you can ride at a lower DIN than the binding you have now. FKS 155 would probably be better.

Why would a heavier binding be cool? Theyre 10 times more durable, so learn before you open that trap lineskier.

You want p18s if you ride at 14 (or even 12). Maxing out your bindings is a bad thing. You want you din set around the middle of its scale.

^true, but who rides at 14? especialy with Look/Rossi bindings? only VERY heavy dudes, guys doing EXTREME backcountry lines and super G racers.
I ride at 8-9, I'll be using FKS 120s when I get my next pair probably.

^people that don't want there skis to come off put there din that high. I know plenty off people who have din 14 and higher.

It has nothing to do with high DIN settings or coolness at all. I want a more durable binding.. since hte beginning of the season I've broken two pairs of P12's... and a P14 is same binding with more DIn.. i need more durability because I'm sick of fucking breaking stuff..

Take a good look at the p18 and rossi fks heel pieces. What holds them together - Two small bars. I've broken mine two times there, sure there made of steel so you can just weld it back on, but heel piece also has small plastic pieces that break and are crucial to holding the binding together.

If you really need to punp your din to like 15 then sure go for it, but if you just gonna be riddin it at 9-10 then get some p12s or something. There honestly not that durable, but there amazingly light.

again, I'm gonna recommend Rossi FKS 155 here. Din up to 15, lower price and same construction as P18/ FKS 180. The FKS 120 is good too.

how wide are the brakes on the look ZR Race bindings? I've heard you need to bend em and im looking to put them on some karmas with an 87mm waist. Is that a stretch?

^They bend pretty easy...I've got fk 120s on my ARVs and they fit fine with just a little bending...the shop made me sign some stuff since they don't go down to the legal length (like 3cm I think) but at least they'll stop if they come off on a groomer or something,

metal binding vs plastic... there are a couple rare race stock look bindigs with lower din swttings that are all metal
