MCL recovery time

i alread made a post about how i hurt my knee but now my doc says its torn or partially torn mcl probabbly and i have to get an mri. he said if it isnt that bad, I have to wait and let it heal, and if it is bad they have to go in and do surgery.

does any one know how long the recovery is for either of these 2 procedures. it doesnt really matter b/c my mountain just closed, but i was going to go to whister on feb 15th

um i dunno about the mcl, but i think it heals up pretty quick if you dont have to have surgery...surgery on the other hand takes a while to recover from. yuk! surgery is not to fun, lets see i had an acl reconstruction the end of december last year, and i could have skied in april, march if i was lucky but i didnt feel like hiking all the way up a glacier to get some turns in. i dunno good luck with that though.
