skiing should be on mirc

since everyone wants skiing to be more like skating and snowboarding, i say we open a mirc channel to serve ski movies, it would make it much easier for everyone to be exposed to them, and there are channels for virtually every other sport, like snowboarding, skating, bmx, etc... but no ski one, i dunno it would make it much easier for me to see ski videos, like oens i dont own, because people will still buy the vids, they will just be able to see them ahead of time to know if they are good or not
don't do sleep and get 8 hours of drugs

absolutly not, we can start a skiing channel and trade home vids and pics, but theres no way anyone should support trading full length movies, though they may run 30 bucks, cough it up and enjoy the flick, and know that cause you paid for it, next years movies will be better

Yea there definitely isn't enough revenue coming from ski movies yet to expose it on a channel and still make money from it. Shit skateboard vids bring in so much money, and even people downloading them still actually buy half of the videos they see. A lot of companies need to make some decent revenue off their movie to at least break even like level 1, jibtech, and iberg, and the other more independant ski movie producers. Ski movie revenue goes back into production too, msp, pbp, and tgr are fronting a lot of money for heli time, and it doesn't come cheap.

haha, well, mIRC is a client, not the service, the service is IRC, internet relay chat... and there is a skiing channel, (babylon.beyondirc.net #freeskiing) and i think its licsenced to Jibbing.com but Newschoolers.com uses it for the chat here... and ya, it'd be cool to serve home made movies and shit, but not industry vids, much money is not made on ski vids, just look at Josh Berman...
