anyone know how long the recovery last after having surgey on your MCL is? cause i just tore mine and i wanna be able to ski in april if possible.....please leave me some good responses thanks!

i know about acl's and thats it. i doubt you'll be skiing that fast though. you wouldn't want to push it and reinjure it. i say wait till summer camps or next fall, its not worth a few runs if it'll set you back a few months.

depends on how bad and how fast yhou get sugery or whether or not you need it




Im not outta line your outta line the whole frikin system is outta line and when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo and find out its your best friends face, well guess what marge its chinatown.

MCL has a better blood supply so it can sometimes just heal (or heel) on its own but i dont think it would take 6-9 months like the ACL does. The ACL takes a while cuz blood vessels have to grow into the new tissue and it has terrible blood supply. Because MCL has a better blood supply its probably a lot shorter. But before you go skiing ask the Doc for sure.
