How to survive whistler during Easter holiday

Dose anyone gave any tips on how not to get squished to death in lift lines? Any one wanna spill some beans on some steeps?

Stay higher up on the mountain, avoid the lower chairs because they will be crazy busy. The t-bars can be decent if it is busy but if you're looking for chairlifts try Glacier/Jersey Cream (whichever has the smaller line), the peak express, and symphony.

As far as steeps, Spanky's ladder is a must. There are also some newer glades on the way to 7th heaven that can be good. Also if you go to 7th heaven traverse as high along the top as possible and as far as you can to get into "booterville". There is some good stuff over there.

I know you guys out west are spoiled...but how bad can the lift lines really be? I know vail and some of the other bigger resorts can get super crowded.

It seems like you could get away from the crowds relatively easy. NOTHING can be worse than presidents day weekend at a popular east coast resort. hour long lift lines easily

I live and ski near DC so I feel you. But whistler has had more then 1000 fm so I'm expecting giant crowd at least down low.

Other than Emerald, Harmony and Solar during the day the lines are THAT bad. The snow has been decent this year so lots of Vancouver people have use their edge cards so I'm optimistic...

It gets bad, im not sure if you are okay with 2 hour long canyon traffic jams on top of half-hour or more chair waits. The whole valley panics when it dumps and its a nightmare if it snows over holidays/breaks. This weekend will suck if it dumps again. Everyone from back east is making one last hurrah of a ski trip to the west combined with the classic gangbanging of the canyons from SLC.

Didnt ski presidents week but last xmas was the worst ive ever seen it. It took me not kidding 4 hours to physically get out of park city last year. One of the best damn weeks of skiing no doubt but was not cool with that many people.

Your best bet is catskinner, only lift I even bother with on weekends.

Im taking my touring skis with me but unfortunately my skins got stolen. Do you know if you cam rent skins I. The village?

Couple years ago I went to college weekend at whistler. The lines were so bad I got in 5 total chairlift laps all day. On the bright side I had a lot of time for drinking :)

Tahoe gets hour+ bad on holidays. But up here in Washington I skip the mtn on holiday weekends and MTB instead- truck served dh trail systems open year round surely doesn't suck haha.
