Accidental Multi Posts and The newer Quoting System

Sometimes when you post it will show up "you do not have permission to post in this forum" as if you've already posted but if you check in another tab your post wont show up. Then all of the sudden magically an hour or so later you might have 3 posts show up.

The new quoting system. It's great that we can multi quote but can some things be changed to the way they were where you have to quote things as is? Also can we limit the multi quotes?

Idk, seems like way too many threads that are just people changing the quote text or doing a billion multi quotes to do so if they haven't figured out the former.It was moderately funny the first 10 thousand times, now we should move on imo.

I'm assuming your "permission to post in this forum" error comes up late night ya? I get that problem too at like 2am sometimes, its just the site doing its daily updates, etc not much we can do about it.


As for quoting, im not entirely sure why quoting is so easy to change/how we actually fix it, but we'll look into it.

yeah this was a late night after the 4am eastern site maintenance time. I figured as much but though I would mention it. Hasn't happened to me in a while but I guess I haven't been on NS that late.

And thanks. It used to be kind of a pain because even if you made one mistake at the beginning you got the error about what you were quoting. Now it's pretty easy to mess with, and the multi quote feature adds to this. IE somebody doing a 24 multi quote to write something out. Idk.
