Replying to Holes too close?

I recently pulled the trigger on some Adrenalin 16 bindings and some lightly used Armada JJ 2.0s

The JJs were mounted with the Atomic STH 13 binding but I wanted the AT option.

When I set the transparent template down on the ski this is what I got: ( short mount)

Should I be concerned?

The distance is about 3/8' or 9-9.9mm

This article suggests I'm in the clear:

But most people are saying 1cm away or 10mm, shops trying to get me to drop $40 to have them drill holes...
