Back Flips or Cork 3s First?

I was just wondering if I should try a cork three, or learn to backflip first. Thanks.

Backflips. Most "cork 3s" are just ugly ass 3s with a weird grab.

Backflips for sure. Once you throw it you realize how easy it actually is and after backflips flat 3s are really easy to throw

cork 3's are a lot less scary and you can gradually turn a normal 3 into cork 3 just by dipping your shoulder and setting it a bit more every time, backflips have a lot more consequence if you don't commit

Do whatever you feel more comfortable with. A good way to introduce yourself to cork 3s is to do a lazyboy (drag a hand off the jump) It's pretty much an automatic cork 3, and is hard not too land.

Honestly, how is this relevant? OP asked a really good question that has nothing to do with a cork 7.

My opinion is do the backflip. If you can get comfortable with backflips you'll have a huge advantage learning more advanced tricks over those who are not comfortable with backflips.

Backflips are the best because you literally send them off of any hit you can straight air, as long as you have the balls. Cork 3's are fun too, but are way harder to throw off natural features when you can't take a nice fat carve off the lip.

proper cork threes are really hard and kinda spooky. I'd recommend learning cork fives first because the rotation feels a lot more natural imo and landing switch is easier. Your first backflip will be hard but after that they become simple. Do a few hundred on tramp and they'll be like breathing for you. Taking them to snow is natural after that.

90% of people who say they can cork 3, can't cork 3. Most people will just do a dipped 3 while looking at the ground and be like "lulz I just did a cork 3".

Backies are very easy and strait forward.

Practice on tramp and sack up and do it. you will probably land it first or second try and from there its easy to move into flatspins rodeos etc.

cork 3s are actually pretty hard imo and you will probably just fall a lot and get frustrated.

It's clear that everyone who is disputing this post can NOT do cork 3s. They are hard. I sure cant get 'em. Oh you think that 3 was corked because you dipped your shoulder a few degrees? Nice try.
