Bruised toe remedies

So I was trying out a pair of boots my buddy gave me and long story short my big toe on my right foot is fifty shades of bruised. I'm still trying to ski a few more days this season so I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any ways to speed up the healing process or decrease the pain. So far I've just been popping advil, icing it, and attempted the hot paper clip through the nail technique with no luck.

Usually it is the pressure from the toe nail "filling" with blood that causes the pain. Maybe you should try poking a larger hole in your nail.
This may sound crazy, but one summer when I was working with this crew of super gritty dock workers on the local lake, I smashed THE SHIT out of my toe by getting it caught in between two large floating dock. by the end of the day my big tow was swollen and super full of blood. I poked though it with a paper clip from the marina office but it barely helped. Then my boss (one of the gritty ass mofos) suggested that I drill it with his Makita, I agree and he busts out a 3/16 drill bit, I sanitize it with my lighter and then went for it. It only took a few careful revolutions of the bit and BAM, blood started squirting out and I was INSTANTLY relieved.
I used this technique for skiing related toe fuckery two season ago and it worked again.

You could always just buy full tilts too. You'll gain instant shredder status as a bonus. Win Win IMO
