Park City/Canyons spring skiing

Going to park city/canyons for spring break. What are some runs that are good to hit up early in the day while the snow is good and some runs where the snow stays good later in the day as well? Thanks boys

I usually avoid going until 10-11am because the snow takes a while to soften up.

Most of the stuff under pioneer softens up first, some of the crescent runs. blue slip bowl.

thaynes/motherlode later in the day when the other stuff turns to mush

stay away from king con unless you like ice skating

dunno about canyons side, i dont really like skiing there unless it just snowed. the snow just ALWAYS seems to be better at PC to me.

Was at Canyons/PC 2 weeks ago. I actually liked the snow on the Canyons side better, but it did snow when I was there.

Higher on the hill, snow softens around 11. Lower around 10

Didn't ski park

With fresh snow I liked
- Anything of Ninty Nine 90
- Dreamscape and Dreamcatcher lifts

If it doesn't snow
- Super Condor Express doesn't get a lot of traffic, but one side of the hill sees a lot of sun, so you may only be able to hit the back side
- Concur on staying away from King Con

Uh...hitch hike?

Not really a way to get from one to the other without a car. I know there are buses to and from both from SLC...maybe some sort of bus transfer?

Or skin up, then down, then back up...

I was at Canyons a couple weeks ago.

The snow isn't holding very well at the canyons it seems. I found PC much more enjoyable late in the day (for whatever its worth).

I was lapping McConkey and Jupiter from about 9-noon and the snow seemed great. Not too many people ski the trees in either of those spots and was finding freshies a couple days after a storm.

Y'all are crazy, king kong/neffland laps are the best, the entire hillside gets baked by the sun, if its not 9am its fucking awesome.

The first time I've agreed with you... OK probably not but it was painful reading the awful advice in this thread.


Oh fastest way from Snowbird to PC would be to take the tunnel tram off of Alta.
