ok, so im sick, and i need you all's help to diagnose me, i have 1 of 2 things, mono or the flu. now my girlfriend is just getting over the flu and i have been kissing her, not the smartest thing i know but well yeah. i feel like i have the flu, because ive had that before. but today on my way home i was talking to my friend and she said that because i had some pain in my lower back, that i have mono. so what do you all think, and what should i do to get rid of it?

jesus okay. when you have the flu you may have these things called 'body aches'. i know crazy huh? when you have mono, you literally will not be able to breathe out of your nose for about a week or two. then you will experience the worst sore throat in the entire world. think back, have you been really tired lately or have fatigue? usually you feel tired starting about a month before mono comes on. sometimes mono is mistaken for strep throat. chances are, you don't have mono and if you do, it's probably a very light case unfortunately there is nothing to make mono go away but time. go to the doctor and get a blood test and they will tell you for sure.

to get rid of the flu: sleep for 24 hours straight. keep a big jug of water by your bed so when you wake up you can drink a whole bunch of water. the more rest you get, the quicker you will get better

wow that sucks, i have the worst cold right now. i hate it because at school when you are sick and you sniff or have to cough the class always seems to be quiet and ergg i hate that, i had to cough today and it was all sticky and gross. after school i went over to a friends house and coughed and haucked up some yellow shit onto her comforter, it was nasty as fuck and she screamed and yelled haha

Hahaha, I personally find it entertaining that you came on NS toget diagnosed instead of seeing a doctor. For either case, though, there's not really anything the docs can do. Schweitzer's explanation was pretty damn accurate. Your whole body will be really achey and you'll feel mad weak with the flu. Rest, water, and vitamins... The three essentials to getting well ASAP.

if it persists for more than a week see a doctor. they may be able to give you some antibiotics. also, jamba juice has a cold buster smoothie with tons of vitamin c which is water soluble anyway so you can't o.d.. they also sell little packets of drink mix loaded with vitamin c at the grocery store. make sure to get lots of sleep and wash your hands lots and lots or use some of that antibac gel stuff.

i think just about 80% of all the kids on campus are sick right now.

when i'm sick sometimes 7-up helps me feel better. but don't drink too much because it still has sodium and will dry you out. drink mostly water and i can't say this enough people!! sleep!! don't go to school for a few days if you can miss it and just stay in bed.

I hope you were kidding there. The rest of your post was good, but antibiotics won't do shit if he has either the flu or mono. They're both viruses.
