NS Hood House - May?

Hey all

Timberline just announced the dates of their spring pass, its $109 this year to ski from now until May 31st.



I'm looking to put together a group of up to 8 homies who want to split rent on a house in Government Camp for the month of May. Depending on which option we end up deciding on, it could potentially cost under $300 per person to stay for the entire month.

If anyone is interested in going in on this, hit me up via PM. I need to have everyone ready to commit by April 1st so I can put down a deposit.

Also willing to drive a few from SLC to Hood.

Hit me up NS! Let's make this happen.

Any chance they'll extend the spring pass? I heard they usually do. I would be down but I graduate end of May and my parents want me to go to graduation.

No they won't, the reason they did last year was for the horrible conditions especially on Stormans. Timberline knows its parks are suppose to be the best in May (which they were still really fun), though they just extended it because of the lacking snow. There will be no reason for them to extend this year.

FYI spring passes are only for sale through May 1st. this year. They will be good through May 31st but you need to buy it early to use it through May.

This is the real question I have. How, and where is this done? Really trying to make it down for at least a minute this May, but I do have a restricted budget from previous trips this winter. If anybody from Canada is heading down, or if you have advice in general, please, do hit me up

well, considering pretty much all the land surrounding mt hood and timberline is national forest land, you can pretty much camp wherever you want, as long as you're 100 feet or further from lakes, streams, etc, and not in any prohibited areas.

lol you cant call someone that lives here year round a gypsy when you're planning on making a trap house for a month, if anything you will be the gypsies but with showers.

Just an fyi though I'm not sure where you're looking to get a place at but most of the rentals here have 6month-1year leases, unless you get a vacation rental for a month which is gonna cost an ass load of money. The only place I know of that allows a month to month in govy is the summits or Collins lake. Shitty or spendy your call. If you want I can check the rental posting in town and up at tline see what's around.

But its all good homies, dont leave trash, dont cause drama, dont leave sober and all is well! I was a gypsy for 2 1/2 months at the airstrip working at Skibowl and poaching tline my first summer up here. Ha

Wow crazy, didn't even know. Is it sketchy car camping around Timberline? Or is it pretty mellow overall? Debating between this idea, or splitting a place with a few other people for a week, looking to save a bit, but don't want to be sketched out either

Dog we lived in the woods for almost 3 months I had all of my possessions in my tent with 4 other tents around mine and we would all go to work and come back.. Not once did our stuff get stolen all summer. Even more so if you're car campin its mad clutch no one really fucks with cars out here too much. If you camp on westleg move around every couple days, airstrip every few weeks

I remember back In the og gypsy days there wouldn't even be woods camping, you'd just set up shop next to your car across the street from the chevron and mooch / live off the free hot food from the chev. There would be like 10-15 cars just chillin all summer.

There's actually some dude working up here right now ive noticed he has been living in his truck this entire winter in govy. He just moves across the street every few days.

Yup its calvin dudes chill, rode with him a couple.times, let him crash in the lodge one night when I was workin too. Hood truly does connect so many people from all over
