I believed that I have arrived at an accurate conclusion in my research as to why saying the two fabled words, "Last Run" causes the awful things to happen.
You all have heard the horror stories, "I called last run and broke my back" or, "I've called last run but once, and when I did the ski gods came down on me hard with the almighty hammer and stole my virginity" and so many more.
Now, after intensive exploration of the hypothesis, "Calling last run causes you to get fucked up", I have the answer as to why this happens. Now, we all know that correlations isn't causation, and this is a classic case of exactly that.
The actual reason as to why calling last run causes these horrendous things to happen is that the human mind gets into a mentality, a mentality that this is the last chance to try that trick that's been in the back of your mind for the whole day, but you were always too pussy to try.

We see here that the specimen "goes for broke" as they say, and "gets broken off" as others say. He goes all out, mentality of "nothing to loose","This is my final chance". I too have had these thoughts, luckily I have escaped the jaws of Last Run, so far.
