Second one. To me it seems like theres a solid percentage of people that are against having a 'spin to win' mentality in skiing.

But actually skiing has hit a point where throwing the biggest trick or doing the new new isn't cool cool. Its all about being cool and how you look, style over function is the name of the game. Like many have said before we follow the trends of other action sports, just look at skating, whens the last time someone did a quad on a board? not since jake gyllenhall was in jarhead thats right mhm. Go big on less tech tricks you get paid, slide a rail at mach 3000 and i personally will make a giant check made out of beer boxes. No one wants to see a dub 12 mute, take that red bull helmet off and be learn to grub up on the hungry climb. Never spin more than 7, never 4 off rails, always try to slash pow even if you on ice.

These same threads popped up before triples, some people ski to huck big shit some people ski to be creative some people ski just to ski get over it. Skiing isn't going to go "one of two ways" its just going to go, do the kind of skiing you like, don't give a shit about how other people want to ski.

Skiing as anything else is just going back to its true roots. No more xgames, no more big company shit, your home mountain with your crew nothing else, those are going to be the best edits.

I think people misunderstood the thread. This is just my opinion about what will happen to pro skiing. Should have made that more clear. Not about what will happen to people at your local hill. It will still be the same thing. A crew dropping an edit filmed on a phone on YouTube. Building backyard setups with your homies. The only difference is for the new kids to skiing, they'll be subjected to a different kind or inspiration. They'll see TC episodes, Hood Crew edits, you get it, on top of old X Games and Dew Tour finals. There's nothing wrong with hucking triples. Unless the kid thinks he or she has to do it because people can't ski any other way.
