Chamonix - Vallee Blanche question

i havent skied it but i can guarantee you there are old school dudes skiing it on their 78mm skis so im sure you'll be fine with 98s, just got to be confident in your own skiing ability and the skiing ability of those your with.

Depends on the condition but I skied it with 78 mm waisted AT planks. It's more about your skiing abilities however the run is not that difficult.

Until you hit the exit from the glacier which can look different every year. Beware of the crevasses too, there's also a traverse half way down across a sometimes avy prone slope.Make sure to ski it with someone in the know of the actual route and condition.

There is a guy on TGR called IDRIS, PM him for more detailed advice on current conditions.

Thanks man that's really helpful. We have hired a guide from evolution2 to take us down safely. Looks like I will get away with my kartels but will link your man on TGR just to be sure.
