Replying to Mt. Hood summer help

For a family vacation this summer my family wants to go to Oregon. It would be during July. We are staying near Mount Adams which is close to Mt. Hood. The original plan was to do some mountain biking and hiking but my parents are open to the idea of also doing some skiing. So, I was wondering if there is a way to do a one day skiing trip. I know Windells is big there but is that just camp where you register and then stay for multiple days? If anyone could give me some clarification on this that would be very helpful.

Additionally, does anyone know of some places in Oregon where my brother and I could learn surfing? I have never done it before but it is definitely something I would be interested in.
