Replying to Low Swing Weight ski
Hey guys,
I am looking for ski advice. I am 6'1 180lbs. At this point in my skiing I don't charge all that often but I enjoy the park and mountain. I'll ride hard once in a while. I've been skiing park for almost 10 years now and the models of skis change and there are so many brands I can't keep them straight.
Right now I have Vokyl Walls 185 cm with FKS 14s on them. To me they are too heavy and the swing weight is too much for me. I like the stiffness of them though. My first question is are these skis just heavy or would lighter bindings improve them for me? I know the FKS 14s are heavy (right?)
I used to have the old purple and green chronics. I loved them and the swing weight seemed very light even with the same fks 14s on them. They were also pretty stiff in my opinion. My brother has the new chronics and they seem softer but also a low swing weight.
I guess im looking for a stiffer ski that can handle my height and weight that isnt a noodle but isn't super heavy. I haven't tried rockered skis but maybe this is an option?
I love the chronics but i dont really know the difference between the ones I had before and the new ones.
Any advice at all would be cool.
