(Bishop call out) NS Stickers

First off I would like to say I do not wish to offend anyone but ill get straight to the point. Bishop needs to do something about this newschoolers sticker crisis. Bishop should send out free stickers or at least give an option to buy stickers....We the skiers, no we the people deserve more.......I can think of handfuls of people who want newschoolers stickers that have been desperately trying to get them.....After multiple DMs to Bishop's inbox with not even a word back, the NS sticker famine seems like it will never end. Please Take action. Mr. Bishop (not alcohol). The newschoolers sticker is a symbol of prestige and involvement/joy in the skiing community.
Who wants sticks!!?? whos tried getting them and failed.......?

Yeah so we TOTALLY fucked up the sticker thing for a number of years. Too long and boring to explain why, but we did.

Anyway, we have a super sick sticker cutting machine in the office now, and production has been kicking into gear. We did a good job first of supplying all of our events with tonnes, and then we cleared out a ton of the outstanding SASE requests. We have a few more to handle, and they will be returned much faster now that we're up to speed and have extra stock.

As well, the store will launch. We're a few weeks out from it happening, and there will be a super cheap option if you just need a quick reload. The idea is to give an option for someone too lazy/impatient to do a SASE. We'll keep it cheap like $1.50 or so, and you just get a nice hit of stickers. We'll have to limit the number you can order.

There will also be many larger options coming if you want to buy a bunch. If you want to send a SASE go for it and we'll return it much faster (read:few weeks).

The offerings of stickers right now are simple, two sizes white and black. As we get the store back into full swing we'll add many more.

To start, it will cost money and take time but yes we'll do it.

Eventually I'd like to have a distribution point across the pond so we can get it to you easier. That may take time though.

my very last one is currently on my helmet which is way too packed out/out of date. it honestly will most likely do nothing if i slam hard enough. im waiting to upgrade helmets until i can replace this sticker. quit putting my life at risk bishop.

Just a business idea to throw your way...why don't you turn Newschoolers into a lifestyle brand kinda like a jibberish, etc.

Such a good following and if you guys made a cool clothing line I think it could have some serious potential especially how well connected into the action sports industry this website and many people on it are.

First off - note that this has been tried twice in Newschoolers history.

The first iteration was by Harvey, and it was called NS Clothing. I actually rode on the team before I ever worked here.

Results were mediocre.

Second time we approached it was in the 2008-2011 range roughly. We started small with mostly cheap merch-type stuff. After being pretty successful with that, we attempted to step it up a notch into a full-blown clothing line with our first Jiberish collab piece. That was a disaster.

We've had many struggles - handling the logistics, time and knowledge necessary to be successful at a clothing business has seemed to somewhat elude us. Guys like Level 1 or Inspired really made it work because the athletes in their movies wear the stuff while they're shooting... and I guess they have a knack for clothing or something like that.

The reason the store was down for so long happened not because we gave up, but because we actually tried to expand massively and move the entire operation to the US down at the parent company's head office. There were numerous issues which have led us to the current situation.

I do however have a feeling like this go around will be different. We're trying much more of a balance between cheap merch stuff and decent quality items which you'd be proud to wear. We've learned a lot about how we should be marketing things, and I think that NS has been going through a pretty awesome re-birth throughout the last few seasons.

Our main goal to start is to offer you guys decent quality items at an affordable price. The idea being to get it out there and help you rep the brand. We're doing limited quantities to start, and we'll grow slowly from there.

Who knows - maybe it could be a good little chunk of business for us. Most of the time, our best product to sell is advertising because its what we excel at and our packages are extremely effective for most companies that use them. I'd be super happy to see merch be a nice little backup to that - if even only for getting the word out about how rad this place is.

Bishop what ever happened to basic ass NS shirts? I've accumulated a few over the years and it's great. Yeah the outerwear is a tough sell. But basic hoodies, basic tees, and basic hats? And I still rock my neon NS lanyard years later. Lower price brackets and easier to afford for the younger nsers. No need to get all crazy on a whole outerwear line unless that's really your prerogative-- but at this point it doesn't seem there's a motivated team with a clear plan (or $?) to make that happen at all. In the meantime you've got a user base willing to spend much bills on cheap tall tees and stickers. Gets the logo out there, puts money in your pocket to save for future ventures. Just my 2cents. Looking forward to one day updating my stickers to the new logos.

Outerwear won't happen - only the colab pieces we do with various companies.

As for basic T's, that is the idea. We have an order of them about to arrive by the end of the month. Relatively basic T's, hoodies and hats.

We might also do a super ultra cheap line of standard shirts as well.

Our plan this time is to just take it a bit slower than we have in the past. Get it running smooth, figure out the total size of our market, figure out what our customers really want and then grow at a reasonable pace from there.

All right lot of discussion in here so I'm just going to throw out my thoughts in a wall of text:
First off I ain't mad but just curious when I did an SASE i got 4 ns stickers and like 3 orange stickers (not complaining just wondering how some of these kids got phat stacks)Next: In terms of logos I didn't care a ton for the Old logo but i did like the swoosh one that got stolen for north side mills, so i hope i could get some. And finally I think a brand like newschoolers could pedal a lot of shit including outerwear like when i was 11 I got one of the sessions red yellow and black skittles jackets (still have it) in an xs and it was down to my shins it was like 35 inches long and sick so my point is if you did something like that again just not as skittles id buy it. I think part of the reason it wasn't popular was just because it was sessions and a diffrent design. But id dump my wallet into ns shit just fyi

The guys you see get tonnes of stuff usually do something really special in their SASEs. We get all kinds of cool art, surprises, photos, rad letters, presents, cash and even a wood carved Newschoolers logo which sits on top of the Red Bull Fridge at the office.

WHen someone goes out of their way in a SASE, we hook them up. If its a super standard one, we give a basic pack.

We're doing our best to ramp up our offerings, and will have loads of options for getting stuff.

Also, in terms of the jacket... we did three years of Newschoolers Collabs with O'Neill.

wait, does the OG logo refer to the NS that was dropped from the current logo? or the really old one?? I fucking love the NS that was attached to the current logo. it was so gangster, I was pretty bummed that you guys dropped it. I was really looking to rep it on my car and helmet
