Earl_GlobzYou guys are gonna be so mad at me, but i just saw Dead & Co. and John Mayer was fucking incredible. And I grew up with a big sister, i heard all the shit, including John Mayers, shitty, poppy music. That being said he absolutely destroyed. Like the list of live guitarists I've seen in my life goes; #1 Eric Clapton #2 John mayer. And believe me, it pains me to say that. But thats the real.

conchetlerHe is insanely talented. I didn't really get into his music until last year and i knew he was a good guitarist, but i had no idea he was actually as good as he is. He's completely changed my look on how i play guitar and opened the door to a whole bunch of new styles for me. He gets a lot of hate, but people should look past all the douchey shit he did and just focus on his music, because he is one of the most talented musicians of our time. Fav guitarist for sure
FrenchFryIf you wanna learn some news styles of play learn from Frusciante man! he's modern day henrdrix. If you don't already use your thumb when you play you will after watching him, and he uses a really cool muting technique that i find super helpful. Like you still strum all the strings but only the ones you want come through. Haha not sure how long you've been playing.
conchetlerhaha frusciante was my first inspiration on the guitar! i haven't listened to his stuff very much recently, but some of my favorite albums are his solo ones (Curtains, The Empyrean, SCWP.) i've been playing for almost 3 years now and a lot of my playing style is influenced by him, and he was definitely the first guy to turn me on to the hendrix style of playing. i wish he would continue to keep making new music with guitar though, i'm not super into his new acid house stuff and i kinda feel like he's letting his musical talent go to waste with it
FrenchFryI know what you're saying, but i guess he's trying to find a new way of creating.
stinky_petethere's so many good ones these days, love jack white though
J.D.Mark Knopfler. Not close. Y'all should be embarrassed that he wasn't mentioned earlier.
