Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, SRV, David Gilmour,John Frusciante (he may be my fav of all time) Now you go.

You guys are gonna be so mad at me, but i just saw Dead & Co. and John Mayer was fucking incredible. And I grew up with a big sister, i heard all the shit, including John Mayers, shitty, poppy music. That being said he absolutely destroyed. Like the list of live guitarists I've seen in my life goes; #1 Eric Clapton #2 John mayer. And believe me, it pains me to say that. But thats the real.

Haha nah i understand! he is incredibly talented and honestly one of the best around,but he's arrogant and doesn't come off as a genuine guy, that's why i don't like him i guess.

He is insanely talented. I didn't really get into his music until last year and i knew he was a good guitarist, but i had no idea he was actually as good as he is. He's completely changed my look on how i play guitar and opened the door to a whole bunch of new styles for me. He gets a lot of hate, but people should look past all the douchey shit he did and just focus on his music, because he is one of the most talented musicians of our time. Fav guitarist for sure

If you wanna learn some news styles of play learn from Frusciante man! he's modern day henrdrix. If you don't already use your thumb when you play you will after watching him, and he uses a really cool muting technique that i find super helpful. Like you still strum all the strings but only the ones you want come through. Haha not sure how long you've been playing.

yeah and i mean he's doing what he really wants to do and i give him respect for that, but i just feel like he could create so much more with his guitar. maybe he'll return to that musical realm eventually
