Modest Mouse went to the same high school as my sister. Such a great band, especially considering the lead singer was homeless through high school.

for real though my dad used to listen to this shit when I was a kid and it kinda hits me in the feels when I listen to it now. Like my dads still around and everything but I can remember roadtrips and shit from when I was young pretty vividly listening to that album.

same here, I can't tell you how much I wish they'd go back to that style. they're still one of my favorite bands. some of their new stuff is OK, but it's never had that same raw feel pre- the moon & antarctica. that's the band I fell in love with. broke has to be one of my favorite songs.

they've got a really interesting discography when you start digging.

Seen them 8 times and they're always amazing. Easily one of my top 5 favorite bands. The moon and antartica is almost always playing on a loop in my room.
