Surface Blanks are pretty cheap not sure about weight, but swing weight really shouldn't matter I've skied 3 of my friends set ups this year all ranging in weight and I have found no difference as far as throwing stuff, also if you wait a month or 2 more everyone will be having end of the season sales so you should be able to snag some good deals, also check steep and cheap they always have good deals
