If you were skiing around the park on an average day, what kind of trick would someone have to land for you to think that they where a professional skier?

either a stupid amount of control on harder tricks like super ellens, hard spins both ways, and probably something very balsy made to look as ez as a front 2.. like a switch lip 4 to switch (even though ive never seen anyone do this trick)

Pro basically means your job is to ski, its not the tricks you throw (even though that can contribute heavily into making you a pro) but more how well known you are and the influence you have on the community of skiing as a whole.

Dont even have to see the tricks they can do just have to see how fast theyre getting through the park and their edge control. you can watch two people do front 2s on every feature and you can tell who the pro is.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the trick, and everything to do with style and execution.

You could take a nobody and have them do a switch triple cork right in front of me, and another guy do a lip on blind 2 who was a seasoned legit pro... If spot the difference instantly.

Sure if that local guy nailed that trick he'd be one to watch - but the main difference between new blood and pros is the execution under literally any circumstances. There's a level of comfort and sophistication in the tricks which stands out. You get experienced in spotting this over the years.

Lol TRUUUUU....

Though again it really is all in the execution. A pro is a pro not because they can do a trick once... but because they can do it in one shot after waiting at the top of an icy competition course for an hour and a half. That, or they can do it first try when the cameras are rolling.

It takes enormous consistency to actually make it as a professional skier. Its a waste of time to shoot with someone who is going to take 80 tries to get a trick - it simply isn't feasible... unless maybe its the single hardest trick/rail ever. Same with comps... you get very little warmup and there can be enormous wait times until you get to go.

Pros are consistent as fuck.
